NLBC Media Ministry Mission Statement

The members of the New Life Baptist Church Media Ministry will serve the Lord with gladness and contribute to the collective mission of praising God in His sanctuary with the spirit of excellence. We do so because of our love for Christ and our personal desire to use the gifts and talents He has bestowed upon us.

As participants in this ministry, we understand that Christ wants to present to Himself a glorious church; one not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but one that is Holy and without blemish [Ephesians 5:27]. As such, we commit ourselves to the advancement and growth of the kingdom of God through New Life Baptist Church, specifically its music ministry. We will do so by giving God our most excellent service.

In our endeavor to give God our best, we take ownership and responsibility for preparing for His service, realizing that in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some of honor and some of dishonor. We will be vessels of honor; sanctified and useful to God, prepared for every good work [2 Timothy 2:20-21].

Although each member of this ministry is an individual, we are also members of a "fellowship of the Spirit". We must be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord and of one mind with others within this ministry. [Philippians 2:1-2] We know that it is God who works in us both to will and to do for His good pleasure. We will do all things for Him without murmuring and disputing. [Philippians 2:13-14]

In short, we agree to do more than ever before-more to develop and prepare our gifts and talents for worship; more to work in harmony and fellowship with others; more to minister (serve) in music to meet the needs of the congregation; and finally, more to present ourselves a living sacrifice of praise "Holy and acceptable unto God" which is our reasonable service as part of the Media Ministry.

Let's Praise God together.
