OUR STORY
New Life Baptist Church (NLBC), established in 1975, proudly stands as the oldest and largest predominantly African American congregation in Thurston County and Southwest Washington. Under the inspiring leadership of Reverend David L. Reaves, M.Div., we are thrilled about the dynamic growth and forward momentum within our congregation and beyond.
Starting in Olympia at the YWCA’s Friendship Hall, NLBC has been rooted in Lacey for over two decades. Throughout the construction of our current facility, we held services at various locations, and we are now firmly established, continuing to thrive. Our church offers a wide range of vital ministries and programs for all ages, committed to fostering the growth and prosperity of our community.
Looking forward, we envision a transformative community where believers experience new life through Jesus Christ. Guided by God’s truth, justice, and love, we are dedicated to building a vibrant, faith-driven community. We are truly a forward-thinking church.
At NLBC, we express our faith unapologetically through worship, community engagement, and service to both God and humanity. We strive to be a church that is simple yet profound, serious yet joyful, soul-winning yet sincere, spirit-led yet servant-hearted.
Join us as we continue to make a lasting impact on our community and the world.
