ALTAR WORKERS MINISTRY
Acts 1:14 (KJV)
The New Life Baptist Church Prayer is for the entire church body AND the surrounding community. Whether you are visiting, a new member, a longtime member, you are welcomed. We gather for unified prayer every Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the sanctuary and on Sundays we pray in the sanctuary to help set the atmosphere for the worship service.
We are people who love the Lord and believe prayer is what keeps us close to God and hearing from God for direction in regards to our life, our church, our families, our communities and our government.
Altar Workers have the privilege of standing with, interceding, and engaging in spiritual battle for the souls of God’s people so they will walk away changed by the Power of the Holy Spirit. An Altar Worker is an intercessor and should be trained and equipped to pray with and for those who come to receive from God. Altar Workers are selected by the Senior Pastor or the Ministry Leader due to the sensitivity of the ministry. Our team members are held to the highest standard of integrity and privacy. They are charged to live a lifestyle of prayer and fasting – consecrating themselves to the Lord.
