First Lady Donna E. Obey

Donna Elaine Obey, a native of Beaumont, Texas, came to New Life Baptist Church in 1998 to take her place in the destiny that God had ordained. First Lady Obey has been compared to Ruth, leaving her homeland and all that was familiar. This unique expression of love, loyalty and obedience discloses her love for her husband, God and His will for her life.

First Lady attended Lamar University where she received her certification in respiratory care. She was employed with St. Elizabeth hospital as a Respiratory Care Practitioner where she served for 30 years and retired in 1998.

First Lady Donna currently lends her service and talents to many areas. Her passion lies in ministering to women, especially those who have been hurt. She also developed the Greeters Ministry and has assisted with the New Members Ministry and Women's Ministry.

While obligations to ministerial commitments are a priority, she faithfully serves as her husband's helpmate and a model of a virtuous woman.
